For each of the four classes that just missed (Ms. Brady's PK3, Ms. Hoehne's 4th graders, Ms. O'Connell's 5th graders and Ms. Grabfelder's 2nd graders), we will provide a gift basket of goodies.

The 7th graders triumphed in the Middle School competition and will receive a denim/logo day and lunchtime treats on a date to be determined.

7th Grade / 608 box tops
6th Grade /  270 box tops
8th Grade / 107 box tops

The Upper School collected box tops as part of their Spirit Week Competition in October.  Box tops were used to offset Spirit Points earned by another class so were precious currency.  The Upper School students gathered 1,465 box tops -- the highest ever for an Upper School contest.

Our box tops goal for the school year is 13,500 so we are already over half-way there.  Keep up the good work!

Box Tops for Education Program

Clip "Box Tops for Education" logos from participating products and send them into school with your child throughout the year. Each box top earns 10 cents for the PFA. We hold contests in the fall and the spring of each year.  Please visit the website (http://www.boxtops4education.com/) for information and for other earning opportunities including contests, games, and eBox Tops for online shopping.

Target Take Charge of Education

Current Target REDCard holders (Target Visa Card, Target Credit Card, or Target Debit Card) should go to: www.target.com/tcoe to make sure that FA is designated as your reward recipient. Our School ID Number for this program is 771.  Don't have a REDCard yet?  The website tells you how to enroll (in store or with a downloadable application).  YOU receive 5% off all purchases!  FA will receive 1% of all purchases at Target or target.com and 1/2% of purchases made elsewhere with your Target Visa. Last year, we earned over $2,000 from this program.  This is our most valuable rebate program, so let's maximize our earnings!

Giant A+ Bonus Bucks

Complete a School Designation form for your Giant Bonus Card either at the store, online at www.giantfood.com/aplus or by picking up a form at one of the PFA information tables.  Don't be shy about inviting grandparents and other friends/relatives to participate also. Our school I.D. code is 02821. PLEASE NOTE THAT GIANT REQUIRES US TO RE-DESIGNATE OUR SCHOOL EVERY YEAR! This program runs from October through March and earns over $1,000 per year.

Food Lion Classroom Rewards

Now that Food Lion is back in Fredericksburg, let's get everyone to register their MVP cards for Fredericksburg Academy.  Please go to the website via the link below to update your MVP card with FA as your designated school.  This program earns money for FA based on a percentage of the qualified purchases by our supporters.  Visit their Classroom Rewards website for more information.  Our School Code is 217306.

Tyson Project A+

Do you ever purchase nuggets, strips, patties, grilled breasts or other frozen Tyson chicken products?  Don't forget to clip the Tyson Project A+ Labels!  Look for the Project A+ flap on boxes or the black "Support your School" label on the back of larger bags.  Just turn them in with your box tops for education.  FA earns 24 cents per label!

Recycle to Earn with Funding Factory

Recycle empty laser or inkjet toner/printer cartridges (not copy machine toner) to help the environment and earn money for our school. Smaller ink jets may be turned in to the collection boxes outside of Mrs. Estes' lower school office, the main lobby of the middle school and the entry area of the Upper School. Large printer cartridges may be turned in at the LS or US reception desks.  If you would like to donate directly from your place of employment, we can provide pre-addressed boxes for you to send directly from your office. Other electronic devices are accepted as well.  For more information visit http://www.fundingfactory.com/

AmeriGas School Days Program

If you purchase propane from Amerigas, look for the "SCHOOL DAYS RECEIPT" section of your invoice.  This program awards 2 cents to FA for every gallon of gas a customers uses.  Clip the "School Days Receipt" portion of your invoice and send it in with your box tops.  This is our smallest rebate program, so we are hoping to increase participation.

Spring 2012 Box Tops Results

Thank you to everyone who helped with this successful contest.  We have collected 6,000 more box tops to add to the 8,500 collected in the fall.  This is our best year ever!

Lower School classrooms competed to earn make-your-own sundae parties.  The top three winners were Mrs. Carroll (810 box tops), Mrs. Garay (637 box tops), and Mrs. Harmon (626 box tops).  This year, we began offering a fourth party to the classroom with the highest average per student so that smaller classes would have a better chance to win.  The best in this new category was Mrs. O'Connell (582 box tops from only 10 students).  Congratulations!

Here are all of the counts:
Pre-K/Brady/114 box tops
Kindergarten/Harmon/626 box tops
1st Grade/O'Connell/582 box tops
1st Grade/Light/Keating/160 box tops
2nd Grade/Grabfelder/437 box tops
2nd Grade/Sentipal/152 box tops
3rd Grade/Ducharme-Barth/497 box tops
3rd Grade/Manthei/527 box tops
4th Grade/Bushman/396 box tops
4th Grade/Evans/157 box tops
5th Grade/Garay/637 box tops
5th Grade/Carroll/810 box tops

The 6th Grade was once again victorious in the Middle School.

6th Grade/284 box tops
7th Grade/165 box tops
8th Grade/24 box tops

The Upper School students plan and conduct their own box tops contests.  An early semester Pride Week competition brought in 373 box tops.

We have surpassed our school-wide goal for the year, and everyone will get an end-of-year treat.
